INSPIRATION

This sculpture was born out of walks enjoyed in the Clent Hills, Worcester. Picking up fallen objects from towering, ancient trees, especially in autumn, inspired a set of drawings and subsequent clay forms.

From those, this abstract work was developed into a piece which could be interpreted as the remnants of an opened nut shell or seed pod.
